Frequently Asked Questions
What Can I Expect During My First Reflexology Session?
Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete a client intake form and discuss any health concerns. The session will take place with your clothes on, with only your feet, calves, and/or hands needing to be accessible. You will lie on your back and be covered with a blanket for comfort. During the session, reflexology hand techniques will be applied to your feet and/or hands, combined with hands-on energy work. If you feel uncomfortable with touch in any specific areas, please let me know.
When Should I Refrain from Reflexology?
You should avoid participating in reflexology if you:
Are in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Have a history of blood clots.
Have open wounds, ulcers, or recent injuries on your hands or feet.
Have edema or varicose veins in your legs or feet.
Have a contagious condition affecting your hands or feet.
Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Are There Any Side Effects of Reflexology?
Reflexology is generally safe and well-tolerated. However, some people may experience mild side effects, such as:
Increased urination
Tenderness or soreness in the feet or hands
Increased bowel movements
Fatigue
Lightheadedness
Emotional release
These effects are typically temporary and a natural part of the body's healing response.
What Can I Expect During My First Biomagnetic Therapy Session?
Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete a client intake form and discuss any health concerns. You will then lie fully clothed on a massage table.
The practitioner will gently hold your feet and use Applied Kinesiology to evaluate and identify imbalances in your body. Once identified, pairs of magnets will be placed on specific areas of your body and secured with masking tape. These magnets will remain in place for up to 30 minutes. This process may be repeated several times throughout the session, depending on your individual needs.
When Is Biomagnetic Therapy Not Recommended?
Biomagnetic therapy is not recommended in the following cases:
Pregnancy (First Trimester): Due to the potential risk of miscarriage.
Artificial Pacemaker or Metal Implants: Magnets can interfere with devices or drain batteries, so these areas should be avoided.
History of Epilepsy: Detox reactions after a session may increase inflammation and trigger symptoms.
Are There Any Side Effects of Biomagnetic Therapy?
Biomagnetic therapy is generally safe and well-tolerated, with most people feeling good immediately after a session. However, some may experience temporary fatigue or exhaustion, especially after longer or more complex sessions.
Similar to how exercise can benefit the body but require recovery time, Biomagnetism stimulates the immune system and may lead to a brief recovery period. Fatigue may result from the body detoxing and releasing inflammation and toxins. To support this process, it’s important to stay well-hydrated and get plenty of rest over the next few days as the body restores balance.
Can Biomagnetic Therapy and Reflexology Be Used Alongside Other Therapies or Treatments?
Absolutely. Biomagnetic Therapy and Reflexology are excellent complements to other supportive therapies. They work especially well with homeopathic remedies, herbal treatments, and medicinal flower essences. Biomagnetic Therapy is also compatible with antibiotics and other medications.
It’s important to continue seeing your primary care doctor for regular follow-ups. As your body’s pH balance improves through Biomagnetic Therapy, you and your doctor may find that certain medications can be adjusted or even reduced.
